Russian air defences intercept 140 Ukrainian drones, ministry says
Russia’s air defence forces shot down 140 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles overnight on June 9, the Russian Defence Ministry has stated.
According to the ministry, Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were observed over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, and Tula regions, the Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea, and over the waters of the Azov and Black Seas, Caliber.Az reports.
Russia also carried out a large-scale aerial attack on Ukraine overnight on June 9, using two Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles and 166 strike drones.
Ukraine reportedly repelled air assault.
“The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in the airspace. Follow safety rules!” the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned.
