Russian deputy FM denies sharing intelligence with Iran
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko has denied that the country is providing intelligence to Iran.
Speaking at a round-table discussion hosted by the Pathfinder Foundation in Colombo, he denies the reports of Russia sharing intelligence with Iran, noting that this can not be said about the United States and the United Kingdom, which, he claims, supply information to Ukraine for strikes against Russian civilian infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
The comments come after The Wall Street Journal reported, citing unnamed sources, that Russia was allegedly supplying Iran with satellite imagery of targets in the Middle East and advanced drone technology to enhance its strike capabilities. The Kremlin has declined to comment on these reports.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov dismissed accusations that Moscow is passing intelligence to Tehran for strikes on US bases, stating that the Russian authorities “cannot agree” with such claims.
