Russian drone strike on Ukraine's Chernomorsk leaves dead and injured
Russian forces struck a market and a city square in Chernomorsk, in the Odesa Region, with attack drones on the morning of November 14, resulting in both fatalities and injuries.
RBC-Ukraine reported the incident, citing a Telegram statement from Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration.
Kiper said that “this morning the enemy cynically attacked with shock drones the local market in Chernomorsk. According to preliminary data, two people were killed, seven more wounded, some in serious condition. Information about the injured is being clarified.”
He added that the strike also damaged the city square, storefront facades, and private vehicles, while the blast wave shattered windows in a nearby college. “At the site are working rescuers and all relevant services. Sincere condolences to the families of the victims. To the injured – recovery,” he said.
Earlier reports noted that Russian forces had also targeted the southern part of the Odesa Region overnight with attack drones, causing fires. One person was killed in that strike and received all necessary assistance before succumbing.
During the night, Russian troops additionally launched missile and drone attacks on energy infrastructure, leaving a significant number of consumers without power in the Donetsk, Kyiv and Odessa regions. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia used a total of 449 aerial weapons — 19 missiles and 430 drones of various types.
By this morning, Ukrainian authorities reported that 30 people were injured and four killed as a result of the massive overnight attack carried out by the Russian Federation.
