Russian drones attack port, energy sites in Odesa
On the night of November 3 to 4, Russian drones launched two waves of attacks on Ukraine’s Odesa region, targeting the area’s port and energy infrastructure, said the region's governor and head of the DTEK energy firm, Oleh Kiper.
“On the night of November 3 to 4, the region was subjected to two waves of massive drone attacks. Despite the active work of air defence, which destroyed most of the targets, there were hits on civilian port and energy infrastructure facilities,” the statement said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
The attacks caused fires and damaged road surfaces, industrial facilities, and energy equipment. Emergency services promptly extinguished the blazes.
Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties or injuries.
According to DTEK, one of the strikes hit one of the company’s energy facilities in the region. The damage was described as significant, and repair work is expected to take time.
