Russian forces set to deploy "Pauk‑30B" net launcher in Ukraine for trials
The Russian net launcher Pauk-30B, featuring rapid reload capability, is set to be tested in the combat zone in Ukraine, the net gun developer Polet research and production association told TASS.
The company stated that, based on servicemen’s requests, the design of the net launcher has been significantly improved, now allowing the device to be reloaded in just ten seconds, Caliber.Az reports.
"Furthermore, the cartridge is now disposable, removing the need for soldiers to worry about reloading. The cartridge’s form factor has also been improved. While the previous version was cone-shaped, it now has the form of a magazine-type chamber. The new net launcher has already been delivered to the special military operation zone, where it will be tested in February," the company added.
The trial of the Pauk-30B in the combat zone is scheduled to begin in February, with further modernisation of the net launcher continuing.
