Russian overnight attack damages infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk, injures civilians Photo
Russian forces carried out a missile and drone attack overnight on the city of Dnipro and surrounding areas in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, causing fires, infrastructure damage, and civilian injuries, regional authorities said.
A missile strike hit an industrial facility in Dnipro, sparking a fire. The blast damaged windows in nearby residential buildings, a high-rise apartment block, several infrastructure facilities, and at least five vehicles. Two women, aged 76 and 67, were injured and are receiving outpatient medical treatment, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanza said, Caliber.Az reports.
In the Novooleksandrivska community of the Dniprovskyi district, a private house was damaged after being struck by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Photos of the damage were released by local authorities.
The Pokrovska community in the Nikopol district was also targeted by Russian artillery shelling, according to officials.
Ukraine’s air defence forces reported that 40 Russian drones were shot down overnight over the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Separately, authorities noted that a 44-year-old man was injured in a missile strike on the Petropavlivska community the previous day. He was hospitalised in moderate condition.
