Russian overnight attack on Kyiv injures 10, including child PHOTO/VIDEO
Ten people, including one child, were injured in a Russian overnight attack on Kyiv on July 11, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES).
The agency said the strikes affected the Solomianskyi, Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts of the Ukrainian capital, causing fires and damage to civilian infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports.
In the Solomianskyi district, a strike set a three-storey office and warehouse building on fire. The blaze has since been extinguished. A railway locomotive was also damaged by the blast wave.
In the Darnytskyi district, a strike ignited a traffic light control panel on the roadway. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, while windows in nearby residential buildings were blown out by the explosion.
In the Dniprovskyi district, a warehouse was hit, triggering another fire.
The SES said rescue workers and other emergency services remain at the affected sites, with assessments of the full extent of the damage and other consequences of the attack still underway.
