Russian peacekeepers deliver 12 tonnes of humanitarian cargo to Garabagh residents
Russian Peacekeeping Contingent has delivered 12 tonnes of humanitarian cargo for peaceful residents of the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan, the Russian Defence Ministry told TASS.
"Servicemen of the Russian Peacekeeping Contingent delivered to Khankendi 12 tonnes of humanitarian cargo for peaceful residents of Garabagh. The delivered humanitarian aid included: food, medicines and necessities," the military ministry said.
Also along the route of the humanitarian convoy Russian peacekeepers provided assistance to civilians travelling independently from the territory of Garabagh. Servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent handed over drinking water, bread and baby food to all those in need.
Russian peacekeepers continue to fulfil their tasks on the territory of Garabagh. As the military department recalled, continuous cooperation is maintained with Baku and Khankendi aimed at preventing bloodshed, ensuring security and observing the norms of humanitarian law with regard to the peaceful population.
