Russian peacekeepers leave Azerbaijan

The Russian peacekeeping contingent temporarily deployed in the Karabakh region has left Azerbaijan.

The Russian contingent has left Azerbaijan once and for all, Caliber.Az reports, citing Musavat.

Azerbaijan has thus closed the Karabakh issue, including full sovereign control over the liberated region.

Following the 44-day Second Karabakh War of 2020, Russian peacekeepers were deployed in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan as part of a ceasefire agreement brokered by Russia between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
