Russian strike on Sumy region leaves one dead, 16 injured photo

Russian forces carried out an attack on Ukraine’s Sumy region, killing one person and injuring at least 16 others, according to local authorities cited by ASTRA.

The fatality was reported in the Yampil settlement community, while those injured were recorded in the city of Sumy and other nearby communities. Officials said the youngest of the injured is three years old.

The attack caused widespread damage to civilian areas, including residential buildings, vehicles, and other infrastructure.
