Russian strikes pound Kharkiv overnight, leaving dead, wounded PHOTO
Russian forces shelled 18 settlements across Ukraine’s Kharkiv region over the past 24 hours, killing two people and injuring four, according to regional authorities.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said the attacks were carried out using a range of systems, including “Geran-2” and “Molniya” drones, FPV drones, and other unmanned aerial vehicles of unidentified type.
Residential buildings, power infrastructure, warehouses, agricultural facilities and civilian vehicles were damaged in the strikes, he said in a Telegram statement.
Syniehubov added that Ukrainian forces repelled multiple assaults across the South Slobozhanskyi and Kupiansk directions, with a total of 291 combat engagements recorded over the same period.
Separately, the evacuation centre in Lozova received 207 people over the past day as civilians continued to be moved away from front-line areas.
