Saudi investors to explore opportunities in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh, envoy says

A group of Saudi Arabian businesspeople plans to visit Azerbaijan's Karabakh region to explore investment opportunities and potential projects, Saudi Ambassador to Azerbaijan Essam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili has said.

He noted that the delegation intends to assess projects in which Saudi businesses could invest, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

"A group of businesspeople plans to come to Karabakh to see which projects they could invest in," the ambassador added.

Al-Jutaili also praised the reconstruction work underway in Karabakh, noting that he sees new developments on each visit to the region.

"This is probably already my tenth visit to Karabakh. The government is working very actively here. Many facilities have been built - two or three hospitals, a university and a cultural center. Work is now underway on the railway station and bus station," he stressed.

The ambassador further stated that Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan are brotherly countries and expressed satisfaction with the scale of reconstruction taking place in the region.
