Senior officials: “Am KeLavi” campaign targets Iran’s ability to destroy Israel

Senior Israeli officials think that Israel’s ongoing military campaign, codenamed “Am KeLavi” aims to decisively undermine Iran’s capability to destroy Israel.

The operation has focused on severely damaging Iran’s nuclear facilities and missile programmes, key elements of Tehran’s strategic threat, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media. 

Despite these strikes, Iran’s considerable military potential remains intact, prompting Israel to continue intensive actions within Iranian territory. 

Israeli sources emphasise that this is not a short-term military operation but a sustained campaign designed to achieve long-term security goals. Given the vastness of Iran’s arsenal, the strikes are expected to continue for several more days, or possibly longer. Officials note that the campaign could theoretically end if Iran commits to dismantling its nuclear and missile infrastructure, but they assess such an outcome as highly unlikely.

On June 13, the military operation launched by Israel against key components of Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure has escalated to a much harsher level. According to Israeli statements, the objective remains the complete elimination of the Islamic Republic’s capability to develop nuclear weapons.

The Israeli Air Force has struck more than a hundred targets, deploying approximately 200 combat aircraft and over 330 precision-guided munitions, according to official figures. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) emphasises that this is a large-scale, coordinated operation targeting both military facilities and the nuclear programme infrastructure across the entire territory of Iran.
