Shusha elected member of League of Historical Cities
Shusha city's membership in the League of Historic Cities was announced at the League of Historic Cities' General Assembly meeting in South Korea's Andong city on November 14-16, 2022, as part of the 18th World Conference.
In this regard, Secretary General of the League Shibata Shigenori made a statement in which he announced the election of Shusha city as a member of the League of Historic Cities, according to APA.
Then, Special Representative of the Azerbaijani President in the Shusha district Aydin Karimov informed the participants of the General Assembly about the historical and cultural significance of Shusha city, the vandalism committed by the Armenians during the occupation, the improvement and construction work being carried out in Shusha.
The League of Historic Cities is an international platform that includes 126 cities.
The cities closely cooperate to preserve the historical and cultural heritage, historical and cultural monuments and increase the tourism potential of cities within the League.
