Shusha Global Media Forum explores AI ethics, cross-border media cooperation PHOTO
Participants at the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum discussed the ethical challenges posed by artificial intelligence and the need for stronger international media cooperation during a series of one-on-one sessions on topical issues.
A session titled "Social Media and Ethical Frameworks in the Age of Artificial Intelligence," moderated by AnewZ TV digital content creator Alisultan Sultanzade, featured a presentation by Seamus Clancy, Head of Government and Nonprofit Relations for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America at LinkedIn, Caliber.Az reports via Azertag.
The discussion focused on the opportunities artificial intelligence offers for producing and distributing information, while emphasising the need to combat disinformation, encourage responsible digital behaviour and build a more trustworthy information environment.
Another session, "Cross-Border Media Dialogue and Solidarity in the Digital Environment," was moderated by AnewZ TV journalist Katie Wilson.
Addressing the session, Euronews CEO Claus Strunz highlighted the importance of international media cooperation, the exchange of experience among media organisations from different countries, and the new opportunities created by digital platforms.
Participants also examined the challenges facing the media in the digital era, stressing the need to protect credible journalism and strengthen cross-border dialogue and solidarity among media organisations.
