Smoke spotted near defence plants in Russia’s Perm after drone attack PHOTO/VIDEO
Smoke was seen rising over Zakamsk in Russia’s Perm region, where two major defence-related facilities are located, according to an OSINT analysis by ASTRA.
The area is home to the Perm Gunpowder Factory, which produces propellant charges for Grad and Smerch multiple-launch rocket systems and air defence systems.
Another facility, the Mashinostroitel plant, is a strategic Russian defence enterprise and part of Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation. It produces, among other items, assemblies and components for aircraft and solid-fuel rocket engines.
The smoke was reported after authorities in the Perm region said the area had come under a drone attack. One UAV reportedly crashed into a residential building, killing one person and injuring four others, according to the regional governor.
