South Korea calls on Russian Federation and North Korea to abandon military cooperation
The National Assembly of the Republic of Korea adopted a resolution calling on the governments of the Russian Federation and North Korea to abandon cooperation in the military field.
The last meeting of the autumn session of the South Korean parliament was held on December 8. During the event, lawmakers adopted a document on the interaction between Moscow and Pyongyang in the military field, TASS reports.
Parliamentarians specifically called on the Russian Federation and North Korea to stop such cooperation. At the same time, the decision was adopted by a simple majority – 138 people voted in favor, as stated in the material.
According to the agency, the document was submitted to the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea for consideration in mid-October. The decision was supported by 10 representatives of the conservative “People Power” party, of which the country’s current president Yoon Suk-yeol is a member.
