St. Martin Association president hails Azerbaijani leader's speech at COP29

President of the One St. Martin Association Rhoda Arrindell has expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for his statements.

The statements were made at the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in support of the rights of peoples living in colonized territories, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

Arrindell emphasised that the speech delivered by President Aliyev at the Summit of Small Island Developing States had a profound impact on everyone in Saint Martin.

"We are grateful, as we already see the progress sparked by President Aliyev's speech. I am confident that this address will lead to even greater results," she added.

Earlier, the Baku Initiative Group and the One St. Martin Association formalised their partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement was signed by Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group Abbas Abbasov and President of the One St. Martin Association Rhoda Arrindell.
