State Department: Ending cooperation with Azerbaijan to be contrary to US interests

US State Department's spokesman Matthew Miller has said that termination of cooperation with Azerbaijan would be contrary to the interests of the United States.

The US side has never said that it does not intend to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan, Miller said at a regular briefing, Caliber.Az reports.

“We never said that we’re not going to continue to engage with Azerbaijan. That would be against our interests as the United States of America. We think it would be against the interests of peace and security in the region for us to just drop all of our diplomatic engagements with Azerbaijan,” the spokesperson said.
