Su-30 fighter jet crashed in the Kaliningrad region of Russia, the crew was killed.

As TASS reports, this was reported to journalists in the Western Military District.

"On August 12, while performing a training flight in the Kaliningrad region, a Su-30 aircraft crashed in a deserted area," the message said.

The flight was carried out without ammunition.

"The crew of the airplane was killed. According to preliminary information, the cause of the crash was a technical malfunction," the district said.
