Tel-Aviv: Israel not to watch silently Iran's efforts to attack
Israel considers Iran's actions in the region to be the main threat to itself and will not watch in silence as the Islamic Republic tries to attack the Jewish state.
Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid made the remarks at the weekly government meeting on July 10, TASS reports.
"Israel will not sit idly by while Iran tries to attack us. Our security services know how to get to anyone, anywhere, and they will do just that," Lapid's office quoted him as saying.
The situation around Iran's nuclear programme will be the main topic of the upcoming visit of US President Joe Biden to Israel for the Israeli leadership, the prime minister said.
"This visit will be dedicated to both challenges and opportunities. The discussion on challenges will primarily focus on the problem of Iran. As it became known yesterday [July 9], Iran is enriching uranium with advanced centrifuges, which is completely contrary to the agreements it signed," Lapid's office quoted Lapid as saying.
