Three major water reservoirs nearing completion in Azerbaijan's Fuzuli

28 October 2024 16:28

The construction of three out of four large water reservoirs in the city of Fuzuli is nearing completion, according to the Azerbaijani State Water Resources Agency (ADSEA).

At present, the construction and installation work on these reservoirs has been completed, and the focus has shifted to landscaping and beautification of the surrounding areas, Caliber.Az reports.

“Two reservoirs with a capacity of 8,500 cubic metres and two reservoirs with a capacity of 2,500 cubic metres are being constructed to supply Fuzuli city with drinking water. From a spring in Govshad village, water is temporarily supplied to a 100 cubic metre tank, then flows into Fuzuli city," the agency said.

Moreover, a 10,330-metre-long main water pipeline, one wastewater treatment facility, a 1,816-metre-long sewage collector, etc., have been constructed in the city.

“Furthermore, 15 sub-artesian wells have been drilled to supplement the city’s water sources,” the agency added.

As the rehabilitation of water infrastructure continues in the city successfully, it can be confidently stated that residents of Fuzuli will not face any water supply issues, with every resident ensuring access to drinking water.

The Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency remains committed to the continuous restoration of the drinking water supply in Karabakh and other liberated territories.
