Top 10 countries in Azerbaijan's foreign trade
The Azerbaijani State Customs Committee has said that from January to July 2024, Azerbaijan's main trading partner was Italy, with trade totaling $6.22 billion, accounting for 23.11 per cent of the country's overall trade volume.
However, trade turnover with Italy during the reporting period decreased by 35.1 per cent compared to the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports citing the State Customs Committee.
Türkiye ranked second, with a trade volume of $3.62 billion, representing 13.46 per cent of Azerbaijan's total trade, which is 23.7 per cent less than the previous year.
Russia came in third, with trade increasing by 5.2 per cent to $2.57 billion, making up 9.57 per cent of the total trade.
The remaining countries in the top ten are ranked as follows: China: $1.97 billion (up 21.9 per cent), Israel: $1.15 billion (up 36.8 per cent), Germany: $848.21 million (down 13.3 per cent), US: $717.71 million (up 2.5 times), India: $700.87 million (down 11.2 per cent), the Czech Republic: $633.11 million (up 10.6 per cent), Australia: $598.40 million (up 65.8 times)
According to the State Customs Committee, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January to July this year amounted to $26.89 billion, a decrease of 11.3 per cent compared to the previous year.
