Top presidential aide credits Türkiye for backing Azerbaijan

Assistant to the Azerbaijani president and head of the Foreign Policy Department under the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev told reporters in Aghdam, Report informs.

In remarks about the Armenian provocation on the Lachin road, Hikmat Hajiyev informed about the construction of the Barda-Aghdam railway and highway.

“There was no road. They destroyed it. In Soviet times, this road was used as the most profitable in terms of transportation. Because the transportation costs here were low. This road can transport the necessary funds for the Karabakh Armenians. They will also be able to use this road to bring their products to Azerbaijani markets. But instead of using this road, they are busy creating obstacles, using it as an instrument of political propaganda,” Hikmat Hajiyev said.

The presidential aide emphasized that there is no other way in this matter, except for reintegration.
