Tractor operator injured in mine explosion in Garabagh’s Khojaly PHOTO/UPDATED
Details of the August 24 explosion in the village of Madatkand of Khojaly District of Azerbaijan, where a tractor was blown up on an anti-tank mine during agricultural work, have become known.
As the press service of the Prosecutor-General's Office of Azerbaijan told Caliber.Az, on August 24, the Khojaly District prosecutor's office received information that Afgan Alakbarli (born in 1987) was injured when a tractor hit an anti-tank mine.
“The employees of the prosecutor's office conducted an inspection of the scene and performed other necessary investigative actions. The Khojaly District prosecutor's office is investigating the incident,” the agency added.

The tractor exploded on an anti-tank mine during household works, Caliber.Az reports per the press service of the Azerbaijani Internal Ministry.
As a result, the tractor was damaged, fortunately, no one was injured.
Proceedings have been initiated on the fact.
In violation of the 1949 Geneva Convention, during the years of occupation and at the moment of withdrawal from Azerbaijani lands in late 2020 and even after the second Karabakh war, Armenia deliberately and constantly planted mines on Azerbaijani territories, thereby being a significant threat to regional peace, security, and cooperation.
Civilians and military personnel are frequently maimed or killed due to mine explosions in Azerbaijan's liberated regions.
