Trump’s envoy: US, Ukraine agree on 22-point plan to end war
Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, announced that Washington and Kyiv have reached a consensus on 22 specific action points aimed at bringing an end to the war with Russia.
Speaking to Fox News, Kellogg discussed last week’s peace talks in London, which brought together representatives from the U.S., Ukraine, and the E3 nations — the UK, France, and Germany, Caliber.Az reports.
“We came up with 22 very specific actions, after very candid and frank and hard discussions with the Ukrainians. We think we're in a very, very good position,” Kellogg said.
He acknowledged that not all points were well received by Ukrainian negotiators: “They didn't like them all — and that's normal in any negotiation. But I think we're in pretty good shape with them.”
Kellogg emphasised that Ukraine’s willingness to engage in the plan now places the responsibility on Moscow. “We've got one side. Now you need to come up the other side. And I think we're close,” he said, calling on Russian President Vladimir Putin to respond.
Kellogg dismissed Russia’s earlier proposal for a three-day ceasefire, labeling it “absurd,” and echoed Trump’s call for a full and lasting ceasefire.
He insisted that Russia is far from winning the war, noting that Moscow has failed to achieve key military objectives. “Russia has not made any major advances in the last year and a half. They haven’t taken Kyiv, haven’t crossed west of the Dnieper, haven’t seized Odesa — and they've lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers,” he said.
Kellogg praised Ukraine’s determination: “Ukrainians are fighting on their own soil. They’re fighting hard.”
He also noted a growing European commitment to Ukraine, revealing plans for a new “resiliency force” spearheaded by the UK and France — notably excluding U.S. troops.
