Magnitude 5.3 quake hits Russia’s Kamchatka peninsula

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula on January 26, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The quake occurred at 22:21 local time. Its epicentre was located about 149 kilometres south-east of the regional capital, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 32 kilometres, Caliber.Az reports.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, authorities said.
