Turkish athlete of Azerbaijani origin Ramil Guliyev has become the winner of the fifth Islamic Solidarity Games in Türkiye’s Konya city.

The 32-year-old sportsman excelled in the 4x100m relay, Report’s correspondent informs from Konya.

Guliyev's team ran this distance for 38.74 seconds, breaking the record of the Islamic Solidarity Games.

After the victory, an experienced athlete came out to the media with the flags of Türkiye and Azerbaijan.

Guliyev also won a silver medal in the 200m relay scoring 20.24 seconds. His wife Yekaterina Guliyeva won gold in the 800m, silver in the 1500m, and the 4x400m relay.
