Armenian wrestlers to compete at U17 world championships in Azerbaijan

Armenian wrestlers will compete at the U17 World Wrestling Championships, which will be held in Baku from July 27 to August 2, the Armenian Wrestling Federation has stated.

It said Armenia will field teams in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The freestyle squad includes Murad Garibyan (51 kg), David Balayan (55 kg), Grisha Gevorkyan (60 kg), Erik Papikyan (65 kg), Varuzhan Aslanyan (71 kg) and Vache Aslanyan (80 kg).

The Greco-Roman team consists of Vazgen Vardanyan (45 kg), Ararat Avetisyan (48 kg), Gevorg Harutyunyan (51 kg), Gegham Yeghiazaryan (55 kg), Artush Petrosyan (60 kg), Vazgen Mnatsakanyan (65 kg), Yanes Nazaryan (71 kg), Vahe Hoveyan (80 kg), Aleksan Shaljyan (92 kg) and Khachik Khachatryan (110 kg).
