UEFA hands Women’s Champions League appointments to Azerbaijani referee

FIFA referee Farida Lutfaliyeva has been appointed to officiate two matches in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, according to the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA).

Lutfaliyeva will take charge of the Group 5 semi-final between Estonia’s Flora and Malta’s Mgarr United, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Another Azerbaijani referee, Gulnura Akbarzade, has been appointed to officiate a match scheduled for July 22.

In addition, Lutfaliyeva will serve as the fourth official for the group final on July 25, when the winner of the Flora–Mgarr United clash will face Slovak side Spartak Myjava.
