Azerbaijan to face Tajikistan in friendly ahead of UEFA Nations League

The Azerbaijan national football team will play a friendly against Tajikistan as part of its preparations for the UEFA Nations League.

According to the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), the side, managed by Aykhan Abbasov, will take on Tajikistan on September 23, local media reports.

The match will be held at Palms Sports Arena in Baku.

As part of their UEFA Nations League campaign, Azerbaijan will then face Lithuania away on September 27, Liechtenstein away on October 1, and host Lithuania on October 4.
