Turkish delegation visits Karabakh, explore investment opportunities in Aghdam Industrial Park

A high-ranking Turkish delegation, headed by Mustafa Tuzcu, Deputy Minister of Trade, has visited Azerbaijan’s liberated territories to assess the ongoing reconstruction and development efforts. 

The visit, which included stops in key locations such as the Aghdam Industrial Park, aimed to explore economic prospects and investment opportunities, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy. 

The delegation met with Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Samad Bashirli, who provided a comprehensive overview of the initiatives underway in the reclaimed areas. One of the key highlights of the visit was the Aghdam Industrial Park, a focal point for the region's economic revitalization.

Situated at the intersection of Karabakh and other regions, the Aghdam Industrial Park has quickly become a hub for business development. With 9 operational enterprises currently in the park, its strategic location has attracted both domestic and international investors. The park’s success is crucial for Azerbaijan’s goal of diversifying its economy and enhancing the competitiveness of its non-oil sector.

Deputy Minister Bashirli emphasized the significant role the park plays in fostering economic growth, particularly in terms of job creation and the production of competitive goods. The products manufactured in Aghdam are not only available on the domestic market but are also being exported, further expanding Azerbaijan’s trade reach.

In addition to the industrial site, the delegation also visited key historical sites in Khankendi and Shusha, underscoring the importance of preserving cultural heritage alongside economic development.
