Turkish parliament backs Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis statement against French Senate's biased resolution PHOTO
The "resolution" adopted by the French Senate aims to conceal the realities and openly violate the process of normalisation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
These statements are reflected in the protest statement of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group, Azertag reports.
The document, signed by Shamil Ayrim, head of the group, and three other MPs, notes that the heroic Azerbaijani army has liberated lands occupied by Armenia for thirty years thanks to a glorious struggle.
The statement, which refers to the results of the 44-day Patriotic War and subsequent trials, emphasizes that the well-known decision of the French Senate directed against the UN Charter and the Constitution of Azerbaijan has no legal basis. Azerbaijan has guaranteed its sovereign rights in the territories liberated from occupation. Showing blatant disregard for the norms and principles of international law, France has taken biased and unfair steps against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
At the end of the document, it is noted that the friendship group of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye with Azerbaijan fully supported the statement of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan against the biased resolution of the Senate of France.
