A meeting of Türkiye’s National Security Council (NSC) chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be held on August 9.
The meeting at the Presidential Complex in Ankara is scheduled to discuss strategic, regional and national security issues, especially the Turkish Armed Forces' counter-terrorism operations in northern Iraq and Syria, Anadolu reports.
The meeting is also scheduled to touch upon the topic of securing the country's borders, including in the context of operations against terrorist organisations such as PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG, FETÖ and ISIS, among others.
In addition, Turkish NSC members are expected to discuss the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Views will be exchanged on developments in the grain corridor, Türkiye’s efforts to establish peace, a sustainable ceasefire and the provision of humanitarian aid.
