IRGC says three ships turn back from Strait of Hormuz after warning
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that three container ships withdrew from the Strait of Hormuz after receiving warnings from its naval forces, according to a statement released by the IRGC press service.
“Today morning, in response to false statements by the corrupt US president claiming that the Strait of Hormuz is open, three container ships under different flags attempted to pass through a corridor designated for authorised vessels, but left after a warning from the Corps’ naval forces,” the IRGC said, according to Tasnim.
The IRGC also reiterated its position that passage through the strait is strictly prohibited for any vessels linked to the United States, Israel, or countries supporting actions against Iran.
