The Turkish Air Force shared a statement following the event: “Two HÜRJET jets in the sky simultaneously. Our Air Force Commander, General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, flew alongside Spain’s Air Force Commander, General Francisco Braco Carbo. With each new flight, we not only elevate our objectives but also make history with our crescent-and-star wings in the blue sky.”
Türkiye's domestically developed Hürjet light attack jet has reached speeds of Mach 0.9 at an altitude of 30,000 feet. The aircraft is intended to replace outdated jet trainers and function as an advanced jet trainer, addressing the increasing presence of fifth-generation aircraft and their evolving designs.
With a length of 13.6 metres (44.6 feet) and a wingspan of 9.5 metres (31 feet), the Hürjet showcases impressive specifications.
