Turkish special services destroy particularly dangerous terrorist in northern Syria PHOTO
The Turkish special services neutralised Osman Nuri Ocakli, a particularly dangerous terrorist in the Syrian Ain al-Arab district, who was previously on the international wanted list.
According to Turkish security sources, under his call sign Yilmaz Behrares, Ocakli was one of the leaders of MLKP (Marxist-Leninist Communist Party), banned in Türkiye, Anadolu reports.
Ocakli was a member of MLKP since 2000 and was recognized as the mastermind of many acts of violence committed by the organisation. MLKP fighters work closely with PKK terrorists in the region to organise terrorist attacks in Syria and Türkiye.
Ocakli fled to PKK terrorist bases in northern Iraq in 2014 and moved to the Syrian region of Rasulain in 2015.
In 2018, he organised illegal border crossings between Syria and Türkiye, and since last year he led MLKP units in Syria's Ain al-Arab.
