No information has been provided regarding the missile's launch range. Ballistic missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers are typically referred to as "tactical ballistic missiles" (TBM). Ballistic missiles with a range between 300 and 1,000 kilometers are classified as "short-range ballistic missiles" (SRBM).
Recalling that Roketsan was responsible for all the work on ballistic missiles, the company’s CEO, Murat İkinci, emphasized that they have also made significant progress in the development of long-range cruise missiles. He also noted that the range of their newest cruise missile, Kara Atmaca, has been significantly increased.
"Tayfun is already a project in serial production. Our work on both production and extending its range continues with full force. This event strengthens Türkiye’s position in the regional and global security balance, showcasing the level we have reached in the field of long-range munitions," İkinci added.
