Türkiye-Azerbaijan ties grow stronger as leaders exchange views on future cooperation

On February 26, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made a phone call to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to extend birthday congratulations.

During the conversation, President Aliyev wished Erdogan continued success in his leadership for the prosperity of brotherly Türkiye and good health, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

In response, President Erdogan expressed his gratitude for the warm wishes and attention.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the deep-rooted friendship, brotherhood, and alliance between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, founded on the principle of "One nation, two states."

They also discussed prospects for bilateral relations, upcoming engagements, and matters of mutual interest.
