Türkiye detains 61 suspects in major cybercrime operation across nine provinces VIDEO
Türkiye’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced that a large-scale operation targeting individuals wanted for cybercrimes was carried out across nine provinces.
According to Yerlikaya’s post on X, 61 suspects were detained during the operations conducted by gendarmerie units, involving financial transactions totalling 200 million liras, Caliber.Az reports.
Of those detained, 27 were arrested, 17 were placed under judicial control, and procedures against the remaining suspects are ongoing.

The suspects allegedly engaged in online fraud by posting fake advertisements for the sale of gift cards and furniture on social media and counterfeit websites. They also obtained personal data through illegal online search panels and gained access to citizens’ social media accounts to spread terrorist propaganda, the minister said.
