With the developed guidance kit (KNB), FIRTINA self-propelled howitzers will be able to accurately hit targets. With its help, it is planned to reduce the probability of a circular deviation below 50 meters, it has the possibility of correction in two dimensions. KNB can be used at temperatures from -40C to +52C, are developed in accordance with the MIL-STD-331 standard.
The ammunition guidance kit will be integrated into the 155mm MKE MOD 274 HE ER TNT/BB rounds. MKE MOD 274 rounds, with a range of approximately 39 kilometers, can be used in many equivalent 52-caliber howitzer weapon systems, especially in the FIRTINA and PANTER self-propelled howitzers.
At the moment, it is known that the deviation of the 155mm MKE MOD 274 unguided munition is on average 150-200 meters. This value may increase depending on the conditions on the battlefield.
