Türkiye to host NATO summit in 2026

Türkiye has been selected to host the NATO summit in 2026, as announced in the final declaration of the recent NATO summit held in Washington on July 9-11.

The declaration also confirmed that the next NATO summit will take place in the Netherlands, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish sources.

“We express our appreciation for the generous hospitality extended to us by the United States of America.  We look forward to meeting again at our next Summit in The Hague, the Netherlands, in June 2025, followed by a meeting in Türkiye," the document states.

The announcement was made during a pivotal summit of NATO heads of state and government, where crucial discussions on the alliance's future direction and strategies were held.
