Türkiye voices concern over Somalia, Yemen in Saudi talks
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, stressing Türkiye's concern over developments in Somalia and Yemen and its readiness to support regional stability.
The talks focused on bilateral relations between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, as well as regional and global issues, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Erdoğan noted that both sides intend to take steps to further deepen cooperation between Ankara and Riyadh.
The Turkish president said Ankara is closely monitoring developments in Somalia and Yemen, stressing that preserving the territorial integrity of both countries is vital for regional stability, and expressed Türkiye's readiness to contribute to efforts aimed at uniting the parties in Yemen.
Erdoğan also highlighted that the humanitarian situation in Gaza has worsened during the winter period, adding that Türkiye continues its efforts to ensure a lasting ceasefire and support the reconstruction of the region.
