Two pilots killed after two sport aircraft collide in Germany

Two pilots were killed as a result of a collision between two planes on September 24 evening on the outskirts of Germany’s Gera city.

Two pilots who performed acrobatic figures were killed, German public broadcaster MDR quotes a firefighter as saying.

They collided in the air near the Gera-Leumnitz airfield.

There were no other dead or injured. The area around the crash site near the airfield was surrounded, the fire department said.
