Ukraine continues "inhuman attacks" on Samara, Russian governor says
Ukraine’s Armed Forces have continued drone attacks on Russia’s Samara region, which lies roughly 1,000 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, the regional governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said.
According to him, the area came under what he described as an “inhuman attack,” adding that emergency and air defence systems were activated in response, Caliber.Az reports.
In a statement shared on social media, the governor urged residents not to share publicly accessible images or videos of drones or the aftermath of strikes, warning that such material could assist the attacking side.
“Air defence systems are operational. Follow safety guidelines,” he wrote.
According to regional authorities, strikes on Samara region have been ongoing for two consecutive days.
On April 23, a residential high-rise building in the city of Samara was damaged in a drone strike. Officials confirmed that at least one person was killed in the incident.
