Ukraine lists Russian nuclear executive as wanted in absentia
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has placed Alexei Likhachev, CEO of the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom, on its wanted list.
This information appears in the SBU database, as reviewed by TASS.
Likhachev was officially declared wanted in 2024. He faces charges in absentia for actions deemed to infringe on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The Rosatom chief has been listed on the Ukrainian website Myrotvorets since 2022, reflecting ongoing scrutiny by Ukrainian authorities.
The SBU frequently files charges in absentia against Russian political, military, cultural, and public figures. In parallel, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed numerous decrees imposing sanctions on Russian individuals and entities, as well as foreign citizens accused of collaborating with the Russian Federation.
