Ukraine to boost grain supply to starving countries
The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has approved an increase in the volume of humanitarian aid to African and Asian states and changed the terms of supplies.
As Taras Melnychuk, Permanent Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, notes, the volume of purchases of wheat and/or corn grain for the starving countries of Africa and Asia has been increased by 21,000 metric tons, RBC-Ukraine reports.
This will make it possible to better regulate the issues of purchasing grain products for Sudan, Yemen, Kenya and Nigeria.
In addition, the terms of delivery have been changed from CIF to FOB, which will also help regulate the issues of delivery and payment for the transportation of humanitarian aid to these countries.
