Ukrainian drone attack engulfs Kursk fuel warehouse in flames No casualties reported
Governor of Russia’s Kursk Region Roman Starovoit has said that an unmanned aerial vehicle of Ukraine’s Armed Forces attacked a fuel and lubricants warehouse in the Kursk region, a fuel tank is on fire.
"Today as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack in the Zheleznogorsk district there was a fire at a fuel and lubricants warehouse. A fuel tank is burning, there are no casualties," TASS quotes him as saying on his Telegram channel.
Starovoit added that operational services have rushed to the site.
Confirming the occurrence of the incident, the press service of the mining and processing plant said: “As a result of a drone attack in the Zheleznogorsk district of the Kursk region, a fuel tank caught fire at the fuel and lubricants warehouse of the Mikhailovsky Mining and Processing Plant named after. A.V. Varicheva [part of Metalloinvest], there were no casualties.”
"At present, the necessary measures are being carried out to eliminate the fire," the plant said in a message.
The plant assured the public that necessary measures were actively being taken to eliminate the fire.
Emergency services have been mobilized and are currently on-site, working diligently to control and extinguish the blaze caused by the drone attack.
The situation underscores the growing tensions between Ukraine and Russia, with this incident having direct implications for the region's industrial and energy infrastructure.
