15 June 2026 10:33

Ukrainian drones attacked the city of Tula overnight on June 15, killing three people and damaging private homes and commercial facilities in suburban areas.

Tula region Governor Dmitry Milyayev said, in a post on Telegram, that, unfortunately, another three, including a one-year-old child, were injured, Caliber.Az reports.

“The injured are receiving necessary medical assistance,” he wrote.

According to him, a total of 16 Ukrainian drones were shot down over the region during the night, while a 40-minute missile alert was issued locally.

Separately, drones also reportedly struck the Moscow region city of Reutov overnight.

Residents reported at least four explosions followed by a large column of black smoke rising over the city. The target was believed to be one of Russia’s leading missile and space enterprises, the NPO Mashinostroyeniya research and production association, which produces ballistic, cruise, and other missiles.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin noted that four drones heading toward the capital were shot down, but did not provide information on any consequences.

In addition, Vladimir Saldo, the Russia-appointed head of occupied Kherson region, said drones attacked bridges toward Crimea in Chongar and between Henichesk and the Arabat Spit.

Traffic through the Dzhankoy road checkpoint was completely blocked.

According to a statement from Russia’s Defence Ministry, 123 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones were shot down overnight across 12 regions of Russia and annexed Crimea. Interceptions were reported over Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Rostov, Ryazan, Smolensk, and Tver regions, as well as Krasnodar Krai and the waters of the Azov and Black Seas, in addition to Tula and Moscow regions.

Since the evening of June 14, Russia’s aviation authority restricted operations at airports in Volgograd, Sochi, Gelendzhik, Kaluga, Ivanovo, Nizhny Novgorod, and Yaroslavl. Moscow’s Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports continued operating flights in coordination with relevant authorities.
