Ukrainian forces strike key oil pumping station in Russia’s Bryansk region VIDEO
Ukrainian forces have struck a vital oil pumping station in Russia’s Bryansk region, in what Kyiv describes as a coordinated attack aimed at disrupting the logistics of the Russian military. The facility, located near the village of Naitopovichi, plays a significant role in transporting diesel fuel through major pipelines and directly supports Russian military operations.
The strike occurred overnight on August 29 and was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
“The Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to take effective measures to undermine the military and economic potential of the Russian army, in particular its logistical capabilities, and to force the invaders to stop their aggressive war against Ukraine,” the General Staff stated.
According to the report, the attack was executed using a combination of missile forces, artillery, and unmanned aerial systems. The operation was carried out in coordination with Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), indicating a high level of strategic planning and intelligence coordination.
The targeted facility is described as a linear production station responsible for pumping diesel fuel through key oil product pipelines. Its annual pumping capacity is estimated at 10.5 million tons. Ukrainian military sources claim that the station has been actively used to supply fuel to Russian occupation forces.
Following the strike, a fire was reported at the site, and assessments of the full extent of the damage are still underway. “A fire broke out on the territory of the facility, and the consequences of the attack are being clarified,” the Ukrainian General Staff reported.
The strike comes amid a series of successful Ukrainian operations targeting high-value Russian military assets. Earlier the same day, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian radar system from the S-400 air defence arsenal in temporarily occupied Crimea. Additionally, reports emerged yesterday of the destruction of Russia’s Buyan-M small missile ship, a vessel known for carrying Kalibr cruise missiles. Footage of the attack has reportedly been captured on video.
